Washington - Loretta is a professional storyteller, multipurpose

Dirt Road Rascals - The DRR Show is based on the country radio shows and “Oprys” of the 1940’s and 1950’s, complete with a country clown and high energy old fashioned fiddle and banjo tunes. The show features traditional tunes like “Ragtime Annie” and “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”, but also contemporary music, like “Long Black Train” and “Dance, Dance, Dance.”

The Free Staters – This group of four talented musicians brings the fun, fast paced, popular music from 1850’s American music to life. Performing in period costume on authentic instruments, the group will entertain the crowd with songs like “Old Dan Tucker”, “Oh Susanna” and “Old King Crow.” In addition to the 3 stage performances at Chautauqua, they will conduct 2 interactive workshops in the storytelling area that will touch on the history of music, encourage sing a long participation and offer participants the opportunity to use authentic instruments from the 1800’s.

| Steel - Steel is an immensely popular and unique group throughout the state of Missouri. The band creates a Caribbean sound utilizing five steel drums (nicknamed pans), bass guitar, vocals, drums and multi-percussion. | The Gorsett’s – This fun and entertaining country and bluegrass band from Carrolton features Pat Gorsett on guitar and banjo, wife Holly on mandolin and fiddle, daughter Patty Jo on bass and Arthur Endsley, from Orrick, on guitar. |
| Mic-O-Say - The Tribe of Mic-O-Say is the honor camping society of Camp Geiger, Pony Express Council, Boy Scouts of America. Its ceremonies, customs and traditions are loosely based on the folklore of the American Indian. By blending the spirit and pride of the American Indian with the ideals and objectives of the Boy Scouts of America, the Tribe of Mic-O-Say endeavors to prolong the Scouting adventure with an historical theme that has held the attention and captured the imagination of boys and men alike for many generations. | Sweet Harmony - This local music trio of Kris Gilson, Penny Huff, and Jennifer Clark is sure to delight with their country and gospel tunes as the friends make “sweet harmony” together. |
| Byron von Rosenberg is a native of Houston, Texas and grew up in New Orleans. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa and a Masters in Human Services from Murray State University. He began writing poetry and fables in 2002 beginning with a prayer for his father called “Look at My Hands”. Since that time, his poems have been translated into German and Russian, read on radio stations across the nation, and presented to numerous schools, youth groups, retirement homes, and civic clubs. He has published two books of poetry, Don't Feed the Seagulls and Climb the Red Mountain and a children’s book called I Don’t’ Want to Kiss a Llama. Byron and his family live in Missouri. |
